Integrating MONESQ with Google Drive allows you to upload and manage firm and client files in either location and have them be visible in both.
How it works
MONESQ File Storage automatically creates client and matter folders and places any uploaded documents in those folders. By integrating with Google Drive, you can make all of these folders and files available anywhere you have access to Google Drive as well. You can set up one-way or two-way syncing. With one-way syncing, all of the folders and files created in MONESQ will be visible in Google Drive, but no changes made in Google Drive will be visible in MONESQ. With two-way syncing turned on, you can add, edit, or delete content in either platform and the changes will be visible in both places.
Integrating Google Drive
Click the settings menu item from the left navigation bar:
From the Settings page, select the 'Integrations' tab. Click 'Google Drive sync with File Storage':
Select or log into the Google account you wish to synchronize with:
Google will ask you if you wish to provide permissions for MONESQ to access your Google Drive contents. Click "Allow":
You will be returned to MONESQ where you can set-up your sync options:
Drive:
Select the Google Drive you wish to synchronize with
Sync Folder:
Select an existing folder in Google Drive you wish to sync with, or create a new one.
Sync Options:
Determine whether you'd like one-way or two-way syncing.
- Selecting 'Do not sync files from Google Drive' will prevent files you upload directly to Google Drive from being visible in MONESQ.
- Selecting 'Sync files from Google Drive': will ensure that files uploaded directly to Google Drive will be visible within MONESQ.
Click the 'Sync file storage'.
You will be asked to confirm your desire to sync MONESQ with Google Drive. Click 'Confirm' to complete your integration.
The integrations tab of your firm's Settings page will now display a summary of your Google Drive integration, including the Google drive and folder you are syncing with, as well as the status of your integration:
In your sync settings, if you created a new folder in Google Drive to sync with, you'll see it in Google Drive:
All of the folders and files in MONESQ File Storage are now visible in Google Drive:
Making changes to your Google Drive integration
You can make changes to your Google Drive integration by clicking 'Settings' from the left navigation menu, selecting the 'Integrations' tab on top of the Settings page, and clicking the ellipsis menu next to 'Google Drive sync with File Storage':
Change accounts
If you wish to change the Google account you sync with, select or log-in to the Google account you with to synchronize with and follow the steps outlined above to specify your sync settings.
Changing sync options
If you wish to adjust any of your sync settings, click 'Change sync options' from the ellipsis menu to the right of 'Google Drive sync with File Storage.' You will be be presented with the sync setting screen shown above where you can modify the Drive and Folder you are syncing with, and set up one-way or two-way syncing.
Disconnect Google account
If you no longer wish to sync with Google Drive, select 'Disconnect Google account.' You will be asked to confirm your intent to disconnect Google. Click 'Yes, disconnect' to remove your Google Drive integration:
