Your MONESQ account allows you to activate two-factor authentication when logging into your account. When activated, every time you log in to your account, you will be asked to verify your identity by entering a 6 digit code sent to your mobile device. Here's how it works:
Activate two-factor authentication:
Click on your profile image in the upper right corner of the screen:
From the ensuing menu, click 'Personal settings':
From the resulting 'Profile' screen, select the 'Security' tab from the top menu:
Switch the 'TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION' toggle switch to 'Enable'. As a security measure, you will be asked to re-enter your login password:
Once you click 'Next' you'll be asked to enter the mobile number to which you'd like the verification code sent. Enter your area code and mobile number. You do not need to use spaces or special characters. Your verification code will be sent via text message:
Click 'Next' to complete the process. You will be presented with a screen confirming the successful addition of two-factor authentication to your account:
Click OK or the 'X' button to close this screen and return to MONESQ.
Disable two-factor authentication:
To disable two-factor authentication, follow the steps outlined above to access the 'Security' tab of your 'Profile' screen:
Switch the 'TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION' toggle switch to 'Disable'. To verify your intention to disable two-factor authentication, you will be sent a new verification code. Enter that code.
- You will notice a timer counting down just above the 'Continue' button. When the timer reaches zero, it will be replaced with a 'Resend code' link. If you need another verification sent for whatever reason, click this link.
- Authentication codes expire in 5 minutes. If more than 5 minutes elapses, click 'Resend code' and check your text messages for the new code.
Clicking 'Next' will present a message confirming that you have successfully disabled two-factor authentication:
Logging in with two-factor authentication
Enter your MONESQ login credentials:
Once you click the 'Sign in' button, you will be sent a verification code via text message. Enter this code on the ensuing screen to complete your log in to MONESQ:

Enter the code and click 'Continue' to complete your login.
- NOTE: Your activation code expires in 5 minutes. If more than 5 minutes elapses, click 'Resend code' and enter the new verification code once it arrives.
